G.R.E.A.T.'s Apprenticeship Spotlight
Jordan Wright & Josh Martin– Heavy Equipment Apprentice

Grand River Employment and Training had the opportunity to refer two people to the
Operating Engineers pre-apprenticeship heavy equipment training program in Morrisburg
Ontario. The program included 6 weeks of in-class training and an 8 week paid job
placement. The entire program is an evaluation process and successful participants
usually have employment upon completion. Jordan Wright and Josh Martin were referred
through G.R.E.A.T. and both successfully completed the pre-apprenticeship program.
Jordan received top honours leaving the pre-apprenticeship program with a 92% average!!!
Both are completing their last session of school at the Morrisburg training facility and
will return to employment with AECON upon completion. We would like to recognize these
individuals and congratulate them on their success!!!!
