The following forms are available in the main lobby.

Computer - For job related use and on-line E.I. applications.

  • There are 6 self-help computers available for resumes cover letters and employment insurance benifits applications.
  • Microsoft Word 6.0 and Windows 3.1
  • Career Cruising, a career-related program, will diagnose your career interests into a report producing a list of occupations best suited to you as indicated by your data input.

Faxes & Photocopying

  • Staff will fax cover letters and resumes to specific job vacancies ONLY.
  • NO charge faxing for all job related faxes. You will be requested to complete a fax cover sheet, providing all relevant job information.
  • The staff will photocopy your resume and all associated documentation at no charge, restrictions apply.

Internet

  • Internet service is available to conduct your job search to find career and employment related information only.

Reading Materials & Videos

  • An assortment of reading materials and videos are available for use in the Career Information Centre.
  • Our reading/video materials will assist you in setting goals, career exploration, job search, job interview skills, person-to-person skill and self-management skills.
  • The Centre has career information available on private training institution and what they have to offer.

Telephone Use & Referrals

  • Telephones in the C.I.C. are for client use and job related calls only.
  • We will be glad to refer you to any agency or a Programs and Services Officer (P.S.O.) that can assist you.

Temporary Work Database

  • To qualify for temp work you must fill out on application and submit your resume
  • Referrals are made based on past work experience and interest indicated on your application.
