Getting Started
Youth Internship Program
Objective
Youth Internship provides post secondary graduates with career related skills enhancement and work experience to help them make a successful transition into the labour market. Priority given to business and finance, environment, technologies such as engineering or computer sciences, and health science.
Eligible Participants
Post secondary graduates up to the age of 30 years, who are unemployed or underemployed Six Nations Band Members.
Eligible Coordinators
Businesses and organizations
Employers must have:
Revenue Canada Taxation number to remit an individual’s Employment Insurance Benefits.
Proper bookkeeping practices and policies in place.
Third party liability or WSIB coverage.
Financial Assistance
Negotiable, up to 100% of entry level salary or wage.
Limited training dollars may be available.
Special costs related to disabled participant may be provided if required.
No MERCs provided.
Duration
Up to 52 weeks.
Criteria
Should result in full time employment in career related field.
